The poster "Digital Platforms as Sites of Cultural and Political Resistance: A Latinx Perspective" explores how digital activism has evolved, particularly through social media. It highlights significant movements like #MeToo and #BlackLivesMatter, focusing on their digital origins and impacts. The poster also discusses the role of digital platforms in supporting minority rights and combating xenophobia and racism.

It was important to include this poster in my portfolio.
Because this program guided me to get in touch with more of the history of minorities and how to help and learn more about them. I love exploring different cultures and am especially interested in the history of Latin American immigration. In order to gain a deeper understanding of this cultural background, in the winter I took a course on the history of Latin American immigration to the United States. This learning experience not only broadened my horizons, but also gave me a deeper understanding of cross-cultural communication. I strongly believe that learning more about different cultures and histories helps us to think and solve problems with a diverse perspective. In this way, we can better understand and respect the backgrounds and experiences of others, thus promoting a more harmonious and inclusive social environment.
